One of the best parts of staying at our condo is everything within easy reach, from a mountain-view bar just a mile up the road to a tiny cocktail bar in town that’s worth rearranging your evening plans for. Here’s the lineup, ordered by how close they are to home.

Matty B’s, the closest spot

Just about a mile from the condo, right at the base of Attitash Mountain, you’ll find Matty B’s. It’s the easiest option when you don’t feel like driving far, but don’t mistake “convenient” for “just okay.” The bar staff are super friendly, the food is solid, and the mojitos are, hands down, some of the best around. If mojitos are your drink of choice like they are mine, this is your spot.

Craft NoCo, small bar, big cocktail menu

If you’re heading into town for a proper cocktail-and-a-bite kind of night, Craft NoCo is my favorite. It’s a tiny place tucked in an alley with a mighty drink list, around 30 craft cocktails, all freshly made and genuinely crafted, not just poured from a mixer bottle. The food menu is small but delicious.

My go-to order: the Lazy Summer Days (seasonal!), made with fresh peaches, alongside their burrata salad with blueberries, a combination that tastes exactly like summer in the mountains should. They open at 3:30 p.m.

Chef’s Bistro, great food and outdoor seating in North Conway

Right in North Conway, Chef’s Bistro is a reliable favorite for great food, and on a nice day, you can grab a table outside. They open at noon, making it an easy lunch or early-dinner stop.

May Kelly’s, Irish pub charm with mountain views

Also in North Conway, May Kelly’s brings the warm, lively feel of an Irish pub. The staff here are absolutely delightful, and the space adapts to the weather beautifully. On a warm day, snag a seat on the back deck for views of the Moat Mountains. If it’s chilly, the inside bar area is just as fun and cozy.

A fun bit of trivia: the owner is a serious antiquing expert, which explains some of the charm scattered throughout the place.

They open at noon.

All four spots are about 15 minutes or less from the condo, so whether you’re craving a quick mojito after a day on the mountain or a full night out with a creative cocktail menu, you’ve got options close by.
